In early 2007, after the Merger of National Geographic School Publishing and Hampton Brown School Publishing they needed a new website and hired Keene Systems to deliver a solution. The site we developed, www.NGSP.com , is based on ASP.Net, SQL Server & DotNetNuke. It manages more than 16,000 education products for grades pre-school through 12 and required dozens of custom DotNetNuke modules. There is extensive integration with their back end accounting system and support of their sales force.

Developed a custom DotNetNuke system to manage information on patients in their Bariatric program, their weights, meeting dates treatments and complications. Created numerous DotNetNuke modules and used AJAX auto-complete controls to lookup patient data. A conversion program was also developed to extract data out of their legacy system.

P.Wolfe Consultants is a full service architectural firm in Manhattan specializing in permitting and compliance on large scale construction and renovation projects. Keene Systems developed an online permitting system that allowed their clients to fill in most of the information needed for NYCs strict permitting process. The site was based on DotNetNuke and integrated with Acrobat to fill in the city's building permit template.

After concluding the sale of my software company, Sarbrook, Inc., I became an angel investor in Internet start-up MeansBusiness.com and served as a senior software engineer. www.MeansBusiness.com sold business book extracts on the Internet. Designed and developed Internet database applications in ASP, JavaScript, DHTML and SQL Server. Also utilized IIS, Interdev and Visual SourceSafe. Developed the MeansBusiness content management tool, which consisted of 120 ASP pages that interact with a SQL Server 7 database via ADO. Was the sole developer on this project and performed all aspects of the software product life cycle from inception to delivery of product. Tasks included: user needs assessment, user interface design, graphic artwork, ASP development, JavaScript/DHTML development & cross browser issues, database design, SQL Server stored procedures using T-SQL, IIS setup, SourceSafe setup, conversion of legacy system data, VB maintenance utilities, testing, user support & ongoing code maintenance.

Developed portions of MACKnet 98 with VB 5. MACKnet allows dealers around the world to process warranty claims, order parts and download engine data via dial-up connection to a mainframe. Made extensive use of SQL and Access tables. Utilized several third party controls such as Sheridan Data Widgets. Duties included Visual Basic 5 programming, database design, UI design, creating Active-X objects, and developing InstallShield installations. Started rewriting system in Java & Java Server Pages.

Became a partner in The Sarbrook Co., Inc. and took over product development. Developed a database driven Document Control system to manage manufacturing specs for Fortune 500 companies. Personally wrote 132,000 lines of Borland C code. Later rewrote the entire system in Visual C & Visual Basic 3.0. Database work was done in Oracle, Sybase and Paradox . Used several third party controls for CAD, imaging and OLE. Did software installations, web page design, client/server development, SQL, MAPI and VB optimization. Was involved in every aspect of the business including: strategic planning, sales and marketing, managed a team of 4 programmers, wrote VB/C code, developed design specs and did quotes for custom programming. Did Omron PLC programming. Spent a month in Singapore installing the robot in the clean room at the TI plant.
